November 28, 2023 – The Research and Graduate Study and Research Administration Division held the 2023 R2R Show & Share (Routine to Research: R2R) of Khon Kaen University. Assoc. Prof. Panithan Peerapattana, Ph.D., the Chairman of the R2R Show & Share Project delivered the reporting speech to Prof. Monchai Duanchinda, Ph.D., Vice President for Research and Graduate Study, who presided over the opening session. There were 77 researchers who presented their research and approximately 140 others including deans, committee members, researchers, officers and interested people. The event was organized at Grand Pavilion Conference Room, Rachawadee Resort and Hotel, Khon Kaen.

Assoc. Prof. Panithan Peerapattana reported, “Khon Kaen University has the policy and strategy to become a research university. Thus, research is the principle mission that both the academic and supporting personnel must be aware of. They are required to conduct research work for academic progress and new knowledge. The research outcomes are used for the academic work instruction, social services and improvement of regular work, in accordance with the missions set by the University. The Routine to Research (R2R) event of Khon Kaen University is organized every year. It is aimed at developing the potentialities of personnel, especially the supporting staff and teachers of the Demonstration School of Khon Kaen University. It is the stage for learning and sharing or R2R research among researchers and staff members from different faculties and organizations so that they are able to integrate the research outcomes for their work progress. It is the venue for staff members who have been granted the 2023 budget under the R2R Project to present their research work.”
Prof. Monchai Duanchinda, Ph.D., Vice President for Research and Graduate Study said, “All of you who are participating in this event are the key mechanism to promote and develop researchers who are supporting staff and teachers of the Demonstration School of Khon Kaen University, in accordance with the policy and strategy of KKU to become a research university. Research is to be used as the tool for developing the administration and propulsion of the University in different missions. Research is the key mission that all staff members must be aware of. Everyone is required to do research to develop oneself and the organization and to provide academic service. The evaluators of the recent EdPEx evaluation placed the importance on development of research work from regular jobs or changing the working process by using research or innovation. Therefore, the potential development of supporting staff and teachers of the Demonstration School is another important activity, and a key mechanism in enhancing the knowledge, competency, and potentiality in research work until the staff can produce quality research outcomes and innovations.”
The R2R Show & Share 2023 (Routine to Research) presentation this time was divided into 2 parts: 27 Oral Presentations and 50 Poster Presentations. There was also TED Talks Best Practice activity on the content of the research projects selected. The event truly upgraded the development of work process towards efficient research, another propulsion approach for staff members of KKU.
