November 16, 2022 – Faculty of Architecture, Khon Kaen University led by Assoc. Prof. Chupong Thongkhamsamut, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty; Asst. Prof. Pornsawat Piriyasattha, Ph.D., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs; Dr. Pakhinee Plengdeesakul, Head of the Department of Design; and Khun Maneerat Weerakornpanit, a professional general managing officer, travelled to Khon Kaen Zoo to sign an MOU between Thailand Zoo Organization under the Royal Patronage (Khon Kaen Zoo) and Khon Kaen University (Faculty of Architecture). The ceremony took place at Saman Room, Khon Kaen Zoo, Khao Suan Kwang District, Khon Kaen Province.
This MOU was signed for collaboration in developing a learning resource in education, design and public relation media production. Both parties hold the same intention to promote and develop the learning resource for benefits of personnel and students, between governmental and governmental organizations, or between the governmental sector and the private sector. The zoo will be a resource for students’ professional training, a resource for production of innovative media and public relation media in different fields, and design of products. At the same time, different public relation media and innovative media techniques will be appropriately designed through the identity concepts of both organizations. In addition, product designing will be carried out with the design techniques for these products and packages in different forms that will also contain the identities of organizations. The learning resource is at the same time the tourism spot and the learning society for designing. Coordination, exchanges and activities to enhance design will be encouraged among the staff of the two organizations with the use of resources from both places that will be useful for the youths, the public and the society. Marketing and public relation will then be carried out.
From the MOU, one to two meetings will next be held to set the annual action plan or the details to be implemented each year during the 3 years of MOU: from May 2, 2022 until May 1, 2025.
