October 20, 2022, 11:30 hours, at the VIP Reception Room, 6th Floor, Sirikunakorn Building – Mr. Chu Duc Dung, the Consul-General to Thailand from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the delegation
team from Vietnam Consulate-General met with Khon Kaen University’s administrators under the lead of Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of Khon Kaen University. Joining the meeting were Assoc. Prof. Nawarat Wara-aswapati Charoen, Ph.D., Vice President for International Affairs; Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-ngarm, Ph.D., Assistant to the President for International Affairs; and Mrs. Wilawan Angsunantawiwat, Acting Director of the International Affairs Division. The meeting was for the purposes to strengthen the relationships between the two countries and to discuss educational collaboration between Khon Kaen University and leading universities in Vietnam, exchange of students at the university level and entrepreneurial organizations, and public relation of scholarships and academic activities such as the Cooperative Education Program, Active Recruitment, and GMS Scholarship. The collaboration is also intended to draw more students to study at Khon Kaen University. The meeting went on to discuss the possibility in entering an agreement of academic, research, and cultural collaboration between the two institutions.
