English Program of Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences join Thailand TESOL to hold the 41st International Seminar

January 21, 2022, the English Program of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University joined Thailand TESOL under Princess Galayani Vadhana Royal Patronage to hold the 41st National Seminar under the topic: “ELT in the Digital Era and Beyond: Innovation, Engagement, and Resilience”. The seminar was held on January 21-22, 2022. Assoc. Prof. Singhanat Nomnian, Ph.D., President of the Thailand TESOL conveyed the reporting speech to Assoc. Prof. Orathai Pia-ura, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University, who presided over the opening ceremony. The event was organized both online and onsite at Khon Kaen University Library. Over 100 participants from many countries worldwide presented their works at the seminar.

The 41st Thailand TESOL seminar was organized to present the teaching, learning, and research in English both in and outside classrooms. It also answers the problem in the use of English at Asian and international level by emphasizing on efficient English instruction. The seminar was a good chance for teachers and researchers both in the country and abroad to build a network of collaboration. The seminar was also a venue for participants to exchange their experiences, knowledge and expertise among themselves for development of English education so that it will grow with high standards.

The seminar was honored to have Miss Treenuch Thianthong, Minister of the Ministry of Education as a keynote speaker on the topic: “ELT in the Digital Era and Beyond: Innovation, Engagement, and Resilience”. Participants then presented their works and exchanged their opinions and experiences that would lead to efficient development of academic works and English instruction in the long run.
