International Women's Day

On March 8, 2025, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Oratai Piayura, Dean, and executives, attended the International Women’s Day 2025, organized under the theme “3 Decades of the Beijing Declaration: Opportunities and Challenges for Equality for Women and Girls”, organized by the Department of Women’s Affairs and Family Institute, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, at the Pakorn Angsusingh Meeting Room, 2nd floor, Department of Social Development and Welfare Building, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, Bangkok. The event included an award ceremony to honor individuals who have played an important role in promoting gender equality and social development. Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security, presided over the opening ceremony and presented plaques of honor to those honored. On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Oratai Piayura, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University, was selected to receive the special honorary award “Women who have contributed to society and the country”, which is an award given to women who have dedicated themselves and are committed to working in the areas of human, community, and social development, especially in education and community development. Associate Professor Dr. Oratai Piayura is an academic who plays an important role in driving education and social development through knowledge in the humanities and social sciences. With a broad vision and determination to create a learning society, she has also promoted many activities that help improve the quality of life and equality of women and continuously supports gender equality. Throughout the past, she has been committed to working on the development of people, communities, and society.
