On Monday, February 6, 2023 at 1:30 p.m., Khon Kaen University, together with Beyond Green Co., Ltd., held a press conference for the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the “Production and Application of Lithium-Ion and Sodium-Ion Batteries for Electric Golf Carts” project, honored by Associate Professor Dr. Chanchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, and Ms. Suphasorn Chaowisit, Director of Beyond Green Co., Ltd., to sign a MOU to integrate cooperation to introduce lithium-ion battery products from the new-age battery and energy factory under the brand name kkUVolts, including the development of technology, innovation, and application of sodium-ion batteries to expand to the electric golf car and multi-purpose electric vehicle business in the Asian region. Executives from both parties attended the event at the Sarasin Meeting Room, 2nd floor, Sirikunakorn Building, Khon Kaen University. Associate Professor Dr. Chanchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, said that Khon Kaen University has knowledge and researchers to serve society and the country, especially in alternative energy such as lithium-ion and sodium-ion batteries, which use primary resources from rice husks and mineral sources. In the Northeast, it is a resource that is available domestically, reducing the import of raw materials from abroad. When combined with researchers who are experts in batteries such as Associate Professor Nonglak Meethong, Director of the Battery and New Energy Prototype Factory
