On February 8, 2023, Khon Kaen University signed a memorandum of understanding on academic cooperation with the Thai Startup Trade Association. The ceremony was honored by executives from Khon Kaen University, including Associate Professor Dr. Chanchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University; Associate Professor Dr. Pensri Charoenwanich, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy; Professor Dr. Sumalee Chaijaroen, Dean of the Faculty of Education; Associate Professor Dr. Oratai Piayura, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences; Associate Professor Dr. Siraphat Chiewchanwattana, Dean of the College of Computer Science; Dr. Thanawut Tantisoparak, Advisor for Research, Innovation and International Relations, Faculty of Engineering; and the Thai Startup Trade Association, with Mr. Thanawit Tonkanya, Board Member and Chairman of the Educational Institution, jointly signing the memorandum of understanding on academic cooperation. In signing this memorandum of understanding on academic cooperation, Khon Kaen University and the Thai Startup Trade Association agreed to jointly develop curricula at the undergraduate, graduate, and academic service levels, as well as develop curricula and organize academic service projects. Short-term courses (non-degree programs) including joint activities to provide opportunities for lecturers and students of the university to exchange knowledge in teaching and research, as well as supporting students of Khon Kaen University to participate in internships and gain professional experience with members of the Thai Startup Trade Association, which will be beneficial to the students and the Thai startup industry in the future.
