Institute for Research and Development of Teacher Professionals for ASEAN, Khon Kaen University

On 22-23 February 2025, at Meeting Room 2302, Building 2 of the Institute for Research and Development of the Teaching Profession for ASEAN, Khon Kaen University, organized a workshop on “The Magic of Picture Books and Children’s Learning”, with Assistant Professor Dr. Pongthanat Saeju, Director of the Institute for Research and Development of the Teaching Profession for ASEAN, welcoming the participants, along with Assistant Professor Skaoduean Satham, Deputy Director of the Institute, the project owner, and the Institute’s personnel. The event was attended by 60 teachers, teachers, student teachers, and interested persons. The objectives of the event were to develop the use of picture books for children in both Thai and English for teachers, student teachers, and interested persons, to promote critical thinking activities in children, leading to sustainable development of thinking, and to promote reading in children and youth, leading to sustainable development in society. The Director of the Institute for Research and Development of the Teaching Profession for ASEAN said, “As an agency committed to developing the teaching profession, we realize that education in the present era must adapt to the concept of sustainable development (Sustainable Development Goals: SDGs). This activity is designed to enable teachers to apply their knowledge in real-world practice to develop children’s reading and thinking skills. which is an important foundation of lifelong learning”
