On the morning of December 15, 2020, the Faculty of Dentistry, Khon Kaen University, represented by Associate Professor Dr. Waranuch Pitiphat, Dean, and executives, lecturers, and staff of the Faculty of Dentistry, organized an event to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Mahitalanusorn Building. The event was honored by Associate Professor Dr. Chanchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, who presided over the ceremony, along with university executives, deans of each faculty, lecturers, and staff of Khon Kaen University, at the Red Square, Mahitalanusorn Building, Faculty of Dentistry.
The activities organized on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Mahitalanusorn Building included alms giving, food offering to monks, and activities to present “Kalaphuksa saplings” to the faculty personnel as a royal merit offering to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great and for the auspiciousness of the Faculty of Dentistry, Khon Kaen University personnel.
This was because His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, together with Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, laid the foundation stone for the Faculty of Dentistry's dental teaching and laboratory building. Both of them came to open the building and plant the Cassia fistula tree at the Faculty of Dentistry on December 13, 1990.
