On Monday, March 2, 2020, Associate Professor Dr. Chanchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, honored Professor Dr. Suthipan Jitpimolmas, Director of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) in the NSTDA Meets Khon Kaen University Research Community activity: “Guidelines for Requesting Support for Fundamental Fund” at Sirikunakorn Meeting Room 3, 2nd Floor, Sirikunakorn Building, Office of the President, Khon Kaen University.
With a visionOne of the important strategies of Khon Kaen University is to change the way we do research. We change from doing research based on the interests of researchers to doing research based on the needs of users or the problems of the country. We change from doing research in groups or individual projects to doing research in teams in order to be able to answer big questions with high impact. We change the goals of doing research to go beyond publication to actual use, creating products or innovations, which will be consistent with changing the country's research policy.
The Research Administration Division, KKU, realizes the importance and has invited the executives of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) to meet with the research community of Khon Kaen University and exchange ideas on how to prepare project proposals to request research funding from the Fundamental Fund, which was kindly provided by the Director of NSTDA as a speaker.
This activity is expected to be of great benefit to researchers, including new researchers, mid-career researchers, and high-potential researchers, and to create further cooperation in research that responds to the community, society, and the country.
