ASEAN Teaching Profession Research and Development Institute and Office of Private Education Promotion Council hold a private school teacher training workshop (Primary Level) on October 5-6, 2019
October 5-6, 2019 at Conference Room of Mo Din Daeng Demonstration School – Khon Kaen University by ASEAN Teaching Profession Research and Development Institute joined Office of Private Education Promotion Council and the Coordinating Committee for Private Education Promotion under Education Area Region 12 organized the training for private school teachers on the teaching of mathematics to develop thinking skill for the 21st Century (Primary Level).
October 5, 2019 at ASEAN Teaching Profession Research and Development Institute – Dr. Kanokwan Wilawan, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Education; Mr. Sattha Khotchapalayuk, Vice Governor of Khon Kaen Province; Mr. Monthon Phasuwan, Deputy Secretary of Private Education Promotion Council; Mr. Chalam Atthatham, Advisor to Office of Private Education Promotion Council; Dr. Preeyada Suksaran, Representative of Education Region 12 and Education Officers of Khon Kaen, Roi-et, Maha Sarakham, Kalsin and President of Private School Administration Association of Khon Kaen; President of Coordinating Committee for Private Education Promotion; Director of Office of Non-conforming and Informal Education; President of Khon Kaen Vocational Education; Director of Primary Education Service Area 1-4; Director of Secondary Education Service Area 25; and Presidents of Coordinating Committees for Private Education Promotion of Khon Kaen, Roi-et, Maha Sarakham, Kalsin; visited and observed the operations of ASEAN Teaching Profession Research and Development Institute; the Open Class activities, the Lesson Study activities and the Open Approach activities conducted with 12 Grade 4 pupils from Mahathaisuksa School Khon Kaen. There was television broadcast from Smart Classroom on the 4th Floor of the Institute’s building to the conference room at Khon Kaen University Demonstration School (Mo Din Daeng) and the networks in the South, the Center, and the North. The class was taught by Teacher Jitsinee Wiangnon, a teacher of Chonnabo Community School, Primary Education Service Area 2, Chonnabot Sub-district, chonnabot District, Khon Kaen.
Then at 9:00 a.m., Dr. Kanokwan Wilawan, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Education went to the conference room of Khon Kaen University Demonstration School (Mo Din Daeng) to preside over the opening ceremony of the private school teacher training. Mr. Sattha Khotchapalayuk, Vice Governor of Khon Kaen Province and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maitree Indaraprasith, Vice President for Education and Acting Director of ASEAN Teaching Profession Research and Development Institute, Khon Kaen University welcomed the Deputy Minister.
The training features a lecture on “Kyozai Kenkyu for the “Leson Study” and the “Open Approach” by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maitree Indaraprasith, Vice President for Education, Acting Director of ASEAN Teaching Profession Research and Development Institute, Director of Mathematics Education Association. Then there was another talk on writing a teaching plan under “Kyozai Kenkyu” at the lower primary and higher primary levels.
On Sunday October 6, 2019 there was an activity on writing of lesson plans according to “Kyozai Kenkyu” for the lower primary and higher primary levels. In the afternoon, the activities included the Open Class, the “Lesson Study” and the “Open Approach” for 19 3rd graders who were pupils from Kusol Wat Nongwaeng School, Khon Kaen. This class was taught by Teacher Kraiwut Thesprasit, a teacher from Non Muang School under Primary Education Service Area 1, Khon Kaen, Sila Sub-district, Muang District, Khon Kaen.
Over 300 people attended the activities including administrators and lecturers of Khon Kaen University, private school teachers from schools in Khon Kaen, Roi-et, Maha Sarakham and Kalasin.
ASEAN Teaching Profession Research and Development Institute and Private Education Promotion Council have scheduled the next private school teacher training on Mathematics Teaching to Develop Teaching Skill for the 21st Century at the secondary level on October 19-20, 2019 at ASEAN Teaching Profession Research and Development Institute, Khon Kaen University.
