In a significant milestone for academic excellence, the Journal of Business Administration and Accountancy (KKBS Journal) of Khon Kaen University has been officially certified as a Tier 1 journal by the Thai Journal Citation Index (TCI), with support from the Office of the Science Promotion Commission, Research, and Innovation (OSPC). This prestigious recognition, effective from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2029, underscores the journal’s commitment to quality, innovation, and continuous improvement in scholarly publishing.
A Journey of Excellence
The achievement is a testament to the dedication of the journal’s leadership and contributors. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Khwanruedee Ponchaitiwat, Editor-in-Chief of the KKBS Journal, highlighted the pivotal role of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy in this success. “This accomplishment reflects not only our team’s relentless efforts to elevate the journal’s standards but also its role as a platform for knowledge exchange in business administration and accountancy,” she remarked.
The foundation for this success was laid by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pensri Jaroenwanit, who served as Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy from 2016 to 2024. Under her leadership, the journal secured necessary resources and support for its development. Building on this legacy, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pongsutti Phuensane, the current Dean (2024–present), has driven the journal’s stable growth and strategic vision.
Dr. Wittika Thangchan, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Journal Manager, along with the editorial team, played a crucial role in advancing the journal’s quality and standards. Their efforts have positioned the KKBS Journal as a leading academic medium for addressing challenges in the digital era, both nationally and globally.
A Platform for Scholarly Exchange
The KKBS Journal serves as a premier outlet for researchers to present and exchange knowledge in business administration and accountancy. It publishes original research and academic articles in both Thai and English, covering a wide range of topics, including accounting, finance and banking, marketing, business management, international business, human resource management, supply chain and logistics, tourism and hospitality, and economics. The journal is issued three times annually: Issue 1 (January–April), Issue 2 (May–August), and Issue 3 (September–December).
