On January 15, 2025, Khon Kaen University hosted a high-profile delegation from the University of Phayao’s Innovative Learning Institute to exchange ideas and share groundbreaking models for lifelong education and integrated curriculum development. The delegation, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sarayot Rareongjai, Assistant to the President, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Namngern Chantaramanee, Director of the Innovative Learning Institute, was warmly welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chuchat Kamollerd, Director of KKU’s Office of Academic Service.
Dr. Chuchat highlighted KKU’s vision of becoming a regional leader in human resource development through innovative education tailored to meet the demands of modern society. “Our programs, such as the Culinary Science and Technology curriculum, integrate multiple disciplines to produce world-class professional chefs. We also focus on equipping learners with essential skills like Reskilling, Upskilling, and New Skills to thrive in today’s dynamic workforce,” he explained.
A key focus of the exchange was KKU’s pioneering role in managing lifelong education. The Office of Academic Service acts as the university’s central hub for coordinating and promoting courses from all faculties, while also serving as a one-stop center for gathering and managing learner data. This streamlined approach ensures that lifelong education is accessible, relevant, and impactful.
The meeting also delved into the development of Non-Degree programs and strategies to overcome challenges in lifelong learning. Both institutions shared valuable insights and experiences, laying the groundwork for future collaboration.
