KKU Holds Oath-Taking Ceremony for Good Civil Servants and Strength of the Land for the Year 2024

On Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 08:30 AM, Khon Kaen University held an oath-taking ceremony for good civil servants and strength of the land for the year 2024. This event marks the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 6th cycle or 72nd birthday anniversary on July 28, 2024. The ceremony was led by Associate Professor Dr. Chanchai Phanthongviriyakul, the President of the university, and his wife, Dr. Euanjit Phanthongviriyakul, along with vice presidents, assistant vice presidents, deans, directors of offices, heads of departments under the President’s Office, faculty members, and university personnel at the first-floor hall of Sirikunakorn Building, President’s Office, Khon Kaen University.

The ceremony began with the President of the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Chanchai Phanthongviriyakul, and his wife, Dr. Euanjit Phanthongviriyakul, paying respect in front of the portrait of His Majesty the King. They then performed a ceremonial opening of a flower cone, incense, and candle, followed by paying homage to the portrait. The President then led the participants in paying tribute to the King and reciting the oath of allegiance. Subsequently, the assembly sang the royal anthem and the tribute song to the King, ending with a collective salute. Finally, the President and his wife signed the tribute book.

 

Following this, the President of Khon Kaen University led the management team in planting the “Ruang Phueng” tree, the auspicious tree of King Rama X. Subsequently, the participants paid their respects and signed the tribute book, marking the conclusion of the ceremony.

 

The oath-taking ceremony is part of the activities to allow civil servants and government officials to demonstrate their unwavering commitment to being good civil servants and a strength of the land, following in the footsteps of His Majesty the King for the benefit and happiness of the people and the nation.

Additionally, Khon Kaen University has provided an online platform on its website for administrators, faculty members, staff, students, alumni, and the general public to sign the tribute book and take the oath of allegiance to be good civil servants and a strength of the land.
