Tuesday, July 2, 2024 – Prof. Thidarat Boonmars, Ph.D., Vice President for Enterprise and Sustainable Society, Acting Director of the Natural Science Museum and Miss Rapeepan Kaewpila, the Marketing Officer of the Museum and Sustainable Life-ling Learning Center, went to receive the 2024 Thailand Tourism Standard Symbol in the category of public toilet standard for tourism. Mr. Pholhum Wipatphumiprathet, Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, presented the symbol to the two KKU administrators. The symbol presentation ceremony, presided over by Mr. Pholphum, was held at Meeting Room 208-209, 2nd Floor, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok.

Over 8 years, the Museum and Sustainable Lifelong Learning Center has operated as a lifelong learning resource for the public to learn about natural science and the work outcomes in this field of Khon Kaen University. Later, another science museum was founded as a knowledge transfer resource. There have been arrangements of exhibitions on interesting sciences and technologies. Over the years, the Museum Center has dedicated itself to improve the learning and tourism sources with emphases on cleanliness, safety, and convenience for tourists that increase in number. The “Thailand Tourism Standard” symbol granted this time confirms the quality and standard of the center and the pride for all KKU people.
The Museum and Sustainable Lifelong Learning Center received the Thailand Tourism Standard 2024 symbol, one out of the 16 standards set by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports. The tourism standard was assessed by the quality system that is accepted internationally. It aims at good and quality management, tourist attraction, satisfaction and confidence among all groups of tourists, increase of competitive competency, and upgrading of the standard of Thailand tourism.
