Khon Kaen University and Massey University to Expand Collaborations

On June 22, 2023, at 2 PM, Asst. Prof. Wassamill Watcharakaweesilp, Assistant to the Dean for Academic and International Affairs, represented the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences to welcome Professor Kerry Taylor and Professor Karen Ashton from Massey University, New Zealand.

The two universities have a history of successful collaborations, including a lecture and workshop on ‘How to Get Published in an International Journal’ with Professor Cynthia White and discussions during the Post Thailand TESOL Conference in 2018.

The meeting focused on several essential discussion points, such as student exchange programs, arranging academic staff exchanges, visiting scholar’s programs, undertaking collaborative teaching activities, and research in ELT and Applied Linguistics, which the lecturers from the English Department, led by Asst. The universities hope to renew their Memorandum of Understanding and continue their productive partnership. This development signals a promising chapter in collaborative efforts between Khon Kaen University and Massey University for mutual growth and continued partnership success in academic pursuits across disciplines.
