October 12, 2022, 9:30 a.m., at Kalapaphruek Room 7, 2nd Floor, Sirikunakorn Building – Administrators of Khon Kaen University led by Prof. Monchai Duangchinda, Ph.D., Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies; Assoc. Prof. Maitree Inprasitha, Ph.D., Vice President for Education and Academic Service; Asst. Prof. Natthapat Ananteerakul, Assistant to the President for Education and Academic Service; Asst. Prof. Thanaphruek Chamarat, Ph.D., Vice Dean for Administration of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences; Asst. Prof. Nusara Surakhot, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Development and Alumni Relation of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences; and Mrs. Wilawan Angsunantawiwat, Acting Director of the International Affairs Division; had discussion with delegates from Korea National University of Education (KNUE), Republic of Korea,q on collaboration in educational exchanges. KNUE, on this occasion, introduced to the KKU team, the UNITWIN Project, the teacher profession program and talked about the exchange of lecturers in instruction and research. KNUE also introduced the students under the Campus Asia Plus Project.
Prof. Monchai Duangchinda, Ph.D., Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies explained that Khon Kaen University has the vision to lead the University towards being a “World-class Leading Research University”. Therefore, KKU is happy to support the activities that enhance academic knowledge and research both at the national and international level. The meeting with representatives and professors from KNUE this time is a good chance to develop the program for teacher profession development of the two universities and the exchange program for research into instruction, research network building and public relation of the KKU Inbound Visiting Scholar, a project in which KKU supports experts from abroad to teach or conduct research with Khon Kaen University.
The leader of the delegates from Korea National University of Education (KNUE) said on behalf of the team of KNUE that they are pleased to collaborate with KKU in the UNITWIN Project, which is a project that supports the development of teacher profession with emphases on: 1) interaction and research, 2) collaboration in educational content, and 3) building of networking and partnership in Asia Pacific, including Thailand. KNUE team leader then thanked KKU administrators for the warm welcome.
